Closing out my series on U.S. mortality trends through the pandemic (2020-2022) — this focuses on external causes of death: homicide, suicide, and accidental causes of death. For accidental causes of death, I break out falls, motor vehicle accidents, and drug overdoses. As I updated dated as of the beginning of May 2023, there is still missing data from 2022, as noted in the video.
